A Letter to IU South Bend Alumni from the Director of the Center for Community Engagement
Hello IU South Bend Alumni!
My name is Gail McGuire and I am the Director of the Center for Community Engagement. The Center connects faculty, staff and students to service opportunities in the community, and facilitates partnerships between the campus and community. I am a resource for alumni as well! If you are looking for an intern, volunteers, or a faculty/staff member with whom to work, you can contact me at gmcguire@iusb.edu or (574) 520-4572.
To learn more about the Center for Community Engagement and how IU South Bend partners with the community, check out our website, Facebook page, and blog.
I invite you to attend a Pop-Up University lecture as well. Pop-Up University is a public lecture series featuring engaging talks by IU South Bend faculty. The next lecture is on March 18, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Rebecca Brittenham, Professor of English, will present “Saunter, Meander, Stalk, March, Roll: The Poetics and Politics of Walking.”
